Simple Solutions to Snoring When Pregnant

There are many items on the market these days that are advertised as solutions to snoring; when pregnant you of course want to be careful about anything that you ingest or even inhale, to be sure that you don’t injure your unborn child. Many expectant women are hesitant to try even homeopathic or natural remedies that involve taking anything internally; better safe than sorry is their typical motto. So if this is you, what are the safe solutions to snoring during pregnancy that are going to be safe for your baby and still effective for you? There are actually some very simple solutions that you can try before you decide to see a doctor about this issue.

Adding Humidity to the Room

A great many cases of snoring are caused by your throat being so dry at night that when you breathe through your mouth, all the tissues and membranes back there vibrate loudly, causing the sound that we call snoring. Putting a humidifier or warm mist   vaporizer  in your room at night can be simple solutions to snoring when pregnant. These handy appliances add humidity to the room and therefore moisture to your throat and mouth. Typically a few drops of menthol or eucalyptus oil will be safe and can be added to a  vaporizer . Nasal Strips

Nasal strips are also common solutions to snoring when pregnant. They are typically preferred by expectant women because they have no medicine in them. They work by very gently pulling your nasal passages open thus allowing more air in to your lungs through your nose. This cuts down on incidences of breathing through your mouth. Less mouth breathing while sleeping means less snoring.
